Manual Handling

This short video covers health and safety for manual handling and lifting within a normal office environment.

You'll learn about:

• Spinal anatomy and the causes of injury
• How to lift objects properly
• Storing items safely
• How to avoid injury
• When and where to get help if you are injured in the workplace.

Once you’ve watched the video, you’ll be asked to complete a risk assessment. The results will identify individuals within the organisation who are at particular risk of injury so that potentially hazardous situations can be recognised and avoided.
